UC Davis Scores 2026 Verbal From Rancho San Dieguito’s Madison McCormick
NEW COMMIT: UC Davis has scored a verbal commitment for the 2026-27 season and beyond from Futures qualifier Madison McCormick of Carlsbad, California. She’s the Aggies’ first public verbal pledge.
She told Swimming World:
“I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to pursue my D1 athletic and academic career at UC Davis! I want to thank my family and friends for their endless support as well as Coach Joe and Coach Brandon for always pushing me to be my best. Finally, a special thanks to Coach Matt and Coach Carl for this amazing opportunity. Go Aggies!”
McCormick does her club swimming with Rancho San Dieguito and swept the 100/200 fly as well as the 200/400 IM at the Rose Bowl Invitational earlier this month. This past summer, she earned best times in all her events at Sacramento Futures, placing as high as 14th in the 200m fly.
Her best times include:
- 100 fly – 55.99
- 200 fly – 2:05.16
- 200 IM – 2:05.03
- 400 IM – 4:28.54
Currently a junior at San Marcos High School, McCormick raced the 100 fly and 200 IM at the 2024 CIF State Championships during her sophomore season. She earned silver in both of those events at the CIF San Diego DI Section Championships the week prior.
