Ranomi Kromowidjojo (NED) sets a new Olympic Record of 53.00 to win gold in the women's 100m freestyle event in the Aquatics Centre at the London 2012 Olympic Games (2 August 2012). Aliaksandra Herasimenia (BLR) won silver in the event with Tang Yi (CHN) claiming bronze.
