CLEARWATER – Ten-year-old Zoe Skirboll of Pine-Richland Aquatics tied Lia Neal’s 10-and-under national age group record in the 50-yard free yesterday at the NASA Showcase Classic meet in Clearwater, Fla.
Skirboll swam a 24.90 to tie Neal’s 2005 record in the event, one day after setting a new mark in the 100-yard free with a 54.89.
Delaware Swim Team’s foursome of Hadley DeBruyn (53.68), Bella Warner (53.99), Isabella Paoletti (53.64) and Chase Travis (52.26) also set a new national age group record in the girls’ 11-12 400-yard free relay with a final time of 3:33.57. That chopped nearly two seconds off Long Island Aquatic Club’s 3:35.53 from earlier this year.
