Not long after training partner Michael Phelps talked to the media, Allison Schmitt hopped on stage with Bob Bowman to talk about her third Olympic Trials. The duo touched on Schmitt’s growth as a swimmer in the past few years, as well as, her love of racing. Schmitt, who has talked openly about her struggle with depression, touched on how she has grown since 2014 when she was considering quitting and how she and Bowman decided to take it week-by-week as she got back in the swing of things.

Schmitt, who is close friends with Phelps and fiancé Nicole Johnson, touched on how the two are perfect for each other and how Boomer is the happiest baby around.
