JACKSONVILLE, Florida, September 23. THE American Swim Coaches Association honored Swimming World and its CEO/Publisher Brent Rutemiller earlier this month with the Media Award at its banquet during the World Clinic.
In this exclusive video, Rutemiller talks about the future of Swimming World Magazine, including more issues in 2015 and a return of the beloved “Swimming Technique.” He also mentioned some of the company-wide goals, from rectifying the medals awarded to the East German women at the 1976 Olympics to being a watchdog over FINA and the World Ant-Doping Agency.

I’ve known Rudy since he was a youngster at Eastern Kentucky University. What you have to like about Rudy, is the fact that over the years, he’s never changed. He’s the same guy I met as an EKU Eel teammate, back in 1975. Like local Cincinnati radio host, i.e., Willy Cunningham would say, Brent is the Common Man. What you see, is what you get. The best thing I can say about Mr. Rutemiller, can be condensed into two words. He cares! No more needs to be said about a good friend :-).
Gee whiz Brent, what an honor and it couldn’t have been given to a more deserving person. How long has it been since you were at SDHS? The amazing thing is neither of us have aged one bit. Congrats
again Brent. its a privilege to say I know that guy!
