Swimming Community Is #ChaseStrong In Support of Chase Smith’s Fight With Cancer
TRAFALGAR, Indiana, July 11. CHASE Smith, a 13-year-old swimmer from Indiana, and son of Indian Creek Aquatic’s head coach Brad Smith, was diagnosed with cancer this week, and the swimming community has demonstrated its support via social media.
Using the Twitter hashtag #ChaseStrong, plenty of top stars and top teams throughout the nation have shown Chase that they are thinking about him as he battles cancer. NBAC’s Michael Phelps, Chase Kalisz and Conor Dwyer are in support. Cullen Jones and the SwimMAC team currently in Athens, Ga., for the Bulldog Grand Slam also showed support with videos of their own.
