Swim Moms Rule The World! Stenographer Toni Christy One of Top NCAA Men’s Basketball Stories
We all know Swim Moms Rule The World, but one is in the news as part of the men’s basketball NCAA March Madness due to her typing skills. Toni Christy, mother of Loyola junior Cole Christy, works for ASAP Sports, which handles the transcription for the NCAA.
Following a press conference this weekend, a trio of Wisconsin basketball players (Nigel Hayes, Frank Kaminsky and Sam Dekker) stumbled upon the NCAA stenographer Christy working on press conference transcripts, and their minds were collectively blown.
Before being ushered off to another team activity, the trio were shown just how a stenography machine works.
The following day, during another press conference, Hayes put Christy to the test with some tough-to-spell words (cattywampus, onomatopoeia and antidisestablishmentarianism) to make sure everyone knew she was at work.
Social media tells the full tale of the super swim mom in action!

Christy also has blogged in the past on her Being Mom blogspot account. She hasn’t posted in almost a year, but some of her posts truly tell the tale of what it is like to be a swim mom. One great post is from her experience at the Patriot League championships in Feb. 2014 entitled Shaved & Tapered.
“His underwaters are excellent. I cannot breath until he does. He’s coming up!”
How many swim moms have had this exact same reaction? A bit of sympathy pain from holding your breath while your child also can’t breathe?
Thank you for your kindness.
