GREENSBORO – Ryan Lochte, who was to have been the star of the show today at the Speedo Sectionals in Greensboro this weekend, pulled out of today’s swims due to illness.
Lochte has yet to confirm whether he will be well enough to compete the rest of the way.
Swimming World‘s David Rieder, who is competing in the event this weekend as well, broke the news this morning.
Lochte, an 11-time Olympic medalist, had been scheduled to compete in the 200-yard free , 100-yard fly and 400-yard IM today in Greensboro.
