Ohio Freestyle State Champ Allison Bloebaum Verbally Commits to Missouri
NEW COMMIT: Ohio high school state champion Allison Bloebaum has chosen to spend her college career at the University of Missouri. Mason High School’s (Mason, Ohio) rising senior has sent her verbal commitment to the Tigers.
Bloebaum is a freestyler who gets better with distance. Among her top SCY times are:
- 200 Free 1:47.38
- 500 Free 4:47.91
- 1650 Free 16:23.22
In her Twitter announcement Bloebaum said,
“I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim for the University of Missouri! Go Tigers!”
At the 2017 Ohio Division 1 High School state championships she was the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle champion. The USA Scholastic All-American does her club training with the Mason Manta Rays.
At the 2017 SEC Championships, Bloebaum would have finished 14th in the 1650 with her lifetime best time. Junior Kira Zubar was the Tigers’ top finisher (with a 16:13.60 for fifth). She will have graduated by Bloebaum’s arrival in Columbia. Bloebaum is also within hundredths of making the 500 freestyle C final.
Great choice!
