It didn’t take long for record-breaking action to start at the NCAA Division I Men’s Championships. The first race in fact, as Florida’s Caeleb Dressel downed his U.S. National Age Group record in the 17-18 age division.
Swimming 50-yard free leadoff for Florida in the 200-yard free relay during prelims, Dressel threw down an 18.86 this morning.
That swim undercut his previous record of 18.89 set earlier this year.
Dressel is still the 17-18 sprint king, owning both the 50 free and 100 free (41.90) records.
Dressel then tied his 17-18 US NAG in the 50-yard free with another 18.86 during prelims of the individual 50-yard freestyle.
