NCAA Division I Men’s Championships: Ryan Murphy Cracks Ryan Lochte American Record in 200 Back

California’s Ryan Murphy swept the backstrokes in style with an NCAA and American record in the men’s 100-yard back at the NCAA Division I Men’s Championships.

Murphy unloaded a winning effort of 1:36.77 to clear Ryan Lochte’s American record of 1:36.81 set back in 2007. He also broke his NCAA record of 1:37.35 set a year ago.
