Miranda Padilla Chooses Home Pool, Verbals to University of the Pacific
NEW COMMIT: Miranda Padilla will be in a very familiar environment for her collegiate career, announcing her verbal commitment to swim for the University of the Pacific beginning next fall. Born and raised in Stockton, California, Padilla swims for Tiger Aquatics and is a senior at Saint Mary’s High School
She told Swimming World,
“I chose to verbal at the University of the Pacific because it’s my home and I love the team’s vibe. The University of the Pacific has been my home pool for 5 years. I couldn’t see myself anywhere else.”
Her best times are:
- 100 Back 56.70
- 50 Back 27.26
- 100 Fly 57.24
- 200 Back 2:08.13
- 200 Fly 2:11.18
Last year her best 100 back time would have been good for 15th at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships. Isabella Green (56.36) and Cai Hong Singh (57.32) were sophomores in that B final. They’ll be seniors in Padilla’s first year. She’d have a spot in last year’s 100 fly bonus final as well.
