Michael Phelps was a 54.93 at the 100 meter mark, nearly two seconds ahead of the field, and closed just strong enough to win the 200 fly in 1:58.14 tonight in Mesa. That swim still does not even crack the world’s top 20 this season.

Pace Clark was right on his heels with a 1:58.71. Jonathan Gomez finished third in 1:58.79.

Jack Conger raced to a 1:59.83 finish, the only other swimmer under two minutes.

Zach Harting (2:00.32) out touched Gunnar Bentz (2:00.46) and Chase Kalisz (2:00.89).

Kyler Vanswol finished eight in 2:03.24.
