With the win, Ledecky becomes the first person to win the 200, 400, 800 and 1500 freestyles at the world championships. She’s also the first woman to win four individual events at one world championships, one behind the five that Michael Phelps won in 2007. Ledecky had skipped the 200 free at the 2013 worlds, where her three distance free wins put her alongside Tim Shaw (1975: 200, 400, 1500 free), Ian Thorpe (2001: 200, 400, 800 free), Grant Hackett (2005: 400, 800, 1500) and Sun Yang (2013: 400, 800, 1500) as swimmers to win three freestyle gold medals in one world championships.
uma prova espectacular…que fez a Ledecky
Katie Ledecky is unbeatable in the distance races
Katie’s accomplishment is truly remarkable but perhaps even more astounding is Shane Gould in the 70’s having the world records for the 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500 free and the 200IM simultaneously!
28.63 IN THE FIRST 50 METERS? THIS LITTLE GIRL SHOULD ALSO DO SPRINTS. CONGRADULATIONS! TRULEY IMPRESSIVE!
