LAUSANNE, Switzerland, May 9. ACCORDING to information released today, FINA has decided to introduce the sport of High Diving at the 2013 World Championships being held in Barcelona, Spain.
The first meeting of the High Diving Commission met on April 23, during a get together in Mexico City, Mexico.
The purpose of this meeting was to first study the integration of this discipline in the overall FINA program and to look into the rules, especially the regulations concerning safety, the future development of High Diving and its inclusion in the FINA competitions.
Additionally, FINA will launch a High Diving World Series in 2013 as well with partner Red Bull.
