Canada clinched the first gold medal of synchronized swimming at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto.

The duo of Jacqueline Simoneau and Karine Thomas put together a finals session of 90 points to win gold.

Mexico’s Karem Achach and Nuria Diosdado earned silver with 86.3667 points, while Mariya Koroleva and Alison Williams claimed bronze for the U.S. with 83.8667 points.
