INDIANAPOLIS – The California Golden Bears are the huge favorite heading into the NCAA Division I Women’s Championships taking place in Greensboro, N.C., March 19-21. With California holding a more than 100-point advantage going into the meet, it may take a relay disqualification along with a heavy amount of underperforming by the Teri McKeever’s Golden Bears for her not to win her fourth career NCAA coaching title. Should California win, McKeever would break a fourth-place tie with Mark Schubert for most women’s titles as a coach. Richard Quick (12), Jack Bauerle (6) and David Marsh (5) are the top three.
A total of 281 swimmers across 63 teams were invited this year.
