Anton Evsikov, Arianna Bridi Win 10Ks at World University Games

The final day of swimming at the 2015 World University Games took place at the Jangseongho Lake Regatta with the men’s and women’s 10K open water events.
Russia’s Anton Evsikov won the men’s race in 1:55:09.6, just touching out Italy’s Matteo Furlan (1:55:09.9) at the finish. Italy’s Mario Sanzullo claimed bronze in a time of 1:55:11.0.
Arthur Frayler of the U.S. just missed the podium with a fourth-place time of 1:55:12.8. Teammate Cameron Stitt took seventh overall in 1:56:00.1, while open water veteran Kane Radford of New Zealand placed eighth in 1:56:29.9.
Italy went 1-2 in the women’s 10K event with Arianna Bridi easily winning gold in 2:03:19.4. Teammate Ilaria Raimondi earned silver in 2:03:58.9, while USA’s Stephanie Peacock grabbed bronze in 2:04:53.1.
USA’s Tristin Baxter wound up seventh overall in 2:07:40.6.
