Michael Phelps has officially punched his ticket to Rio by winning the men’s 200 fly in 1:54.84, nearly one second ahead of runner-up Tom Shields.
His win tonight makes him the first American male swimmer in history to qualify for five Olympic Games.
The 22-time Olympic medalist told the media that he’s not too pleased with the time, but happy he made the team.
