Eugene Godsoe scratched his third-seeded time of 25.56, pulling Jeff Swanston into the A final and Tim Wynter into the B final.
Men’s 100 fly
Thiago Pereira scratched his fifth-seeded 53.53 and Cesar Cielo scratched his 15th-seeded 54.31. Matt Josa also scratched his ninth-seeded 53.97. That pulls Aaron Whitaker and Geoff Cheah into the B final, while the A final is left with seven swimmers.
Men’s 400 IM
Ryan Lochte scratched his second-seeded 4:21.22, pulling Jonathan Roberts into the A final and Carlos Claverie into the B final.
