COLLEGE PARK, Maryland, December 7. DURING the age group timed finals at the Tom Dolan Invitational today, Penn Charter's Reece Whitley took down his 11-12 U.S. National Age Group record in the boys 200-yard breaststroke.
Whitley, a 12-year-old who towers over the field at 6-4, clocked a 2:09.40 in the event. That swim eclipsed his previous mark of 2:10.47 set just a few weeks ago at a Thanksgiving meet. Whitley will be gunning for Michael Andrew's 50-yard breast NAG of 27.46 as well.
