Slovakia Championships: Women’s 800 Free Relay National Mark Downed
HUMENNE, Slovakia, July 1. THE Slovakian relay record books had a revision after the first night of long course meter swimming at the Slovakia Championships.
Katarina Filova, Katarina Milly, Linda Mizerova and Katarina Listopadova clocked an 8:37.47 in the women's 800 free relay for the win, as well as the national record. The performance cleared the listed mark of 8:38.62 set in 2009.
Michal Navara captured the men's 50 free in 24.19, while Milan Medo finished second in 24.27. Norbert Trudman snagged third in 24.72. Miroslava Syllabova posted a 26.99 to win the women's 50 free. Katarina Listopadova (27.15) and Katarina Filova (27.38) finished second and third.
Tomas Klobucnik won the men's 50 breast in 30.34, while Daniel Vacval touched second in 30.76. Marek Botik wound up third in 31.22. Patricia Hlavnova touched out Aurelia Tmovcova, 34.10 to 34.11, in the women's 50 breast. Karin Sebikova finished third in 34.41.
Martin Tomanik topped the men's 50 back in 28.12, while Medo finished second in 28.38. Vladislav Vovcko posted a third-place 29.41. Katarina Milly claimed the women's 50 back in 30.77. Karin Tomeckova (31.73) and Romana Pavlikova (32.22) completed the podium.
Trudman won the men's 100 fly in 55.83, while Andrej Grill placed second in 56.98. Mario Rusnak placed third overall in 57.22. Listopadova hit the wall in 1:01.02 to win the women's 100 fly. Denisa Smolenova (1:01.26) and Nikola Ondriskova (1:05.89) touched second and third.
Michal Navara, Tomas Klobucnik, Milan Medo and Richard Nagy won the men's 800 free relay in 7:58.19.
