ROME, Italy, July 27. SERBIA's Milorad Cavic captured the men's 50 fly with the second-fastest time ever at the FINA World Championships.
Cavic touched in 22.67 to nip Rafael Munoz's meet record of 22.68 set yesterday. The performance stands behind only Munoz's world record of 22.43 set in April.
Australia's Matt Targett claimed silver in 22.73 to become the third-fastest of all time, while Munoz settled for bronze with a 22.88.
Denmark's Jakob Andkjaer (22.93), Brazil's Nicholas Santos (23.00), Kenya's Jason Dunford (23.04), Venezuela's Albert Subirats (23.07) and Croatia's Duje Draganja (23.10) comprised the rest of a swift championship heat.
