BERLIN, Germany, November 16. IN an incredibly fast finale, Randall Bal of the U.S. eclipsed compatriot Peter Marshall's world record in the 50 back at the Berlin stop of the FINA World Cup.
Both Bal and Marshall beat Marshall's global record of 23.05 set earlier this week in Stockholm, but Bal came out on top, 22.87 to 22.90. The effort also stands as the American record.
Australia's Robert Hurley rounded out the podium with a time of 23.50.
