Industry News: Speedo Gains FINA Approval for New Suit
LOS ANGELES, California, January 26. ACCORDING to a release from Speedo, the company's much hyped and mysterious new suit has been approved for use by FINA. Rumor has it that the new suit will be debuted at the Missouri Grand Prix, similar to last year's competitive debut in which Michael Phelps broke the 200 fly world record unshaven.

Speedo, the wolrd's leading swimwear brand, is delighted to announce that the international swimming governing body, FINA ( Fédération Internationale de Natation), has approved its most revolutionary and technically sophisticated swimsuit design ever.
Having taken more than three years to develop, the new Speedo suit is the result of the most detailed and advanced research project in elite swimwear design. The new Speedo swimsuit has been decades in the making as the brand celebrates its 80th anniversary this year.
The new ‘space age' suit is set to take the world of swimming by storm and will be Beijing-bound in August. It will officially debut in February 2008 when Speedo will stage a spectacular worldwide launch of the world's most technical swimsuit. According to swimming superstar Michael Phelps, "it feels like a space suit."
