Two More National Records Wiped Out at Israeli Summer Nationals
JERUSALUM, Israel, August 9. TWO Israeli national records and three open standards fell during the fourth day of the Israeli Summer National Championships.
Anna Gostomelski set the national record in the women's 200 free with a time of 2:02.24, while Guy Barnea won the men's 100 back with a national standard of 55.11. Barnea's effort also stands as the Israeli open record.
Nimrod Shapira Bar-Or touched in 1:50.06 to set the Israeli 18-and-under record in the men's 200 free as well as pocketing the Israeli open record with the performance. Mickey Malul, who is now representing Georgia Tech after moving from Kentucky, won the men's 50 breast in an open-record time of 28.24.
Other individual winners include Danit Kama and Anat Zimin in the women's 100 back (1:06.07), Nastia Korotkov in the women's 400 IM (5:08.89), Gal Nevo in the men's 400 IM (4:24.82) and Dua Masraua in the women's 50 brast (33.72).
